Music is the best drug! Yes, you heard it correctly. We consciously choose to play the music that compliments the way we feel. The incapacitated soul and subconscious seek different demeanors to break free from circadian pressures and tensions. Individuals often seek music to relax and enjoy.

Music genres stretch from slow, sentimental ballads such as pop, R&B, soul, country, and folk music to fast heavy metal, including house, hip hop, funk, hard rock, and distinct varieties of other rock music genres. Music is listened to and practiced across the globe extensively. Every nation, culture, and race have their particular music genres.

Listed below are some common types of music genres;

Classical music

This refers to the music written in the European tradition lasting approximately from 1750 to 1830 when forms such as the symphony, concerto, and sonata were standardized. Classical music is art produced or rooted in Western cultural traditions, including liturgical (religious) and secular music. The Classical orchestra came to consist of strings (first and second violins, violas, violoncellos, and double basses), two flutes, two oboes, two clarinets, two bassoons, two or four horns, two trumpets, and two timpani. This music genre, as its name suggests, is historical and is wide since medieval times. It has numerous benefits on the mood and health of the listener. It reduces blood pressure and stress, relieves pain, aids in sleeping, and makes the listener happy by elevating their mood.

Metal music

Heavy metal (or simply metal) is a genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s, mainly in the United Kingdom and the United States. With roots in blues-rock, psychedelic rock, and acid rock, heavy metal bands developed a thick, massive sound, characterized by distortion, extended guitar solos, emphatic beats, and loudness. The lyrics and performances are sometimes associated with aggression and machismo.

Driven by the aggressive sound of the distorted guitar, metal music consists of numerous gains. Stretching from unwinding the incapacitated mind, reducing stress and seeding relaxation to enhancing mood, aiding in sound sleep and memory, enhancing creativity, and fighting depression, the gains of country music are unmatched. It is a trendy genre across the world and has evolved to become a leading music class.

MX THE AMERICAN is a rip-roaring metal music band that is extensively contributing to the flourishment of the metal music industry. Based in Oak Hill, West Virginia, and Atlanta, GA, this passionate band was formed in 1982 under the name MX and changed the name in 2018 to MX THE AMERICAN. They produce heavy and hard rock music, which is widely listened to and praised by people worldwide. They perform live shows, sell brand-centric CDs, merchandise, and comic books.

Their albums include Made In The USA in 1986, Burn in 1988, Goeth For What Thou Knoweth in 1992, Into The Depths in 1994, Contagious in 1996, The Lazarus Phenomenon in 1998,The Self Titled Album ( flag face ) and Ten Thousand Elephant’s in 2020. Conclusively the band generally believes that although metal music comprises bold and powerful themes, it is subjective and impacts the listeners substantively. Their thought-provoking content forces the listeners to ponder certain stereotypes and actualities deep-rooted in our society.

Country music

Country (also called country and western) is a popular music genre that originated with blues, old-time music, and various types of American folk music, including Appalachian, Cajun, and the cowboy Western music styles New Mexico, Red Dirt, Tejano, and Texas country. Its famous roots originate in the Southern United States of the early 1920s. Country music often consists of ballads and dance tunes with generally simple forms, folk lyrics, and harmonies accompanied mainly by string instruments such as banjos, electric and acoustic guitars, steel guitars (such as pedal steels and dobros), and fiddles as well as harmonicas.

Instrumental music

An instrumental is a recording typically without any vocals, although some inarticulate vocals, such as shouted backup vocals in a big band setting. Through semantic widening, a broader sense of the word song may refer to instrumentals. The music is primarily or exclusively produced using musical instruments. An instrumental can exist in music notation after a composer writes it; in the mind of the composer (especially in cases where the composer will perform the piece, as in the case of a blues solo guitarist or a folk music fiddle player); as a piece that is performed live by a single instrumentalist or a musical ensemble, which could range in components from a duo or trio to a large big band, concert band or orchestra. This genre aids in unwinding the depressed and melancholic soul. It causes exceptional relaxation and destresses the subconscious mind.

Jazz music

Jazz is a music genre that originated in the African-American communities of New Orleans, Louisiana, United States, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, with its roots in blues and ragtime. Since the 1920s Jazz Age, it has been recognized as a major form of musical expression in traditional and popular music, linked by African-American and European-American musical parentage’s common bonds. Jazz is characterized by swing and blue notes, complex chords, call and response vocals, polyrhythms, and improvisation. Jazz has roots in West African cultural and musical expression and African-American music traditions. As jazz spread worldwide, it drew on national, regional, and local musical cultures, giving rise to different styles. This genre of music is no less than any other. It stimulates excellent brain activity and improves the well-being of the listener in distinct ways.
